  • Can I apply for a Medallion?

    You can apply for a Medallion if you’re representing the deceased clergy or educator if you are

    • A member of the deceased immediate family
    • Any person who’s legally responsible for making arrangements for deceased’s interment or memorialization
  • How Can I Arrange to Have the Medallion Affixed to a Headstone?

    For perpetual care cemeteries, national or state cemeteries you will need to speak with the cemetery staff and they will set the medallion for you. They may charge a fee. For private cemeteries, download the brochure "How to Affix a Medallion of Honor" for instructions who how to set the Medallion and the type of epoxy to use.

  • Who is Eligible for a Medallion of Honor?

    The Medallion of Honor is available to all vested clergy and educators who served the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as those who served as Seventh-day military, hospital, and prison chaplains.

    Note: Spouses and dependents are not eligible for a medallion.

  • How are the memorial medallions to be used?

    A Memorial Medallion of Honor with an accompanying certificate is to be presented by an administrator, education superintendent ministerial director, or ACM representative, or other at the funeral or memorial service of all clergy and educators who served the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

  • What is the Distribution Process for the Adventist Memorial Medallion?

    Each conference and union are encouraged to purchase a supply of medallions from AdventSource to present as tributes to the family of deceased Adventist educators. When an Adventist pastor, educator, or chaplain passes, their immediate supervisor at the conference, union, or division level or their designee, will attend the funeral service and present the memorial medallion and certificate to the family in recognition of the deceased’s service to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. After the funeral families can affix the medallion on the grave marker.
